Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is scheduled to host the November 7th episode of Saturday Night Live and singer Miguel isn’t too pleased about it.
In an interview with NME, Miguel shared why he took issue with Trump’s hosting gig. According to the “Adorn” singer, Trump shouldn’t get a platform to spread “his ignorance.”

While Miguel isn’t fond of the idea of Trump hosting the sketch comedy show, he certainly understands the business decision behind selecting the Donald, ratings.
“I don’t think ignorance needs that kind of attention,” said Miguel. “Unfortunately, we live in a world where attention is the ultimate currency. So his ability to aggregate attention is valuable to a network.”

When asked if he would perform on the same episode as Trump, Miguel responded, “Me being who I am, I would definitely decline, probably at my own detriment. I think there’s a tremendous responsibility that we all have to just not be f—— ignorant.”
