Donald Trump has his hat to promote political slogans, ATL rapper Raury has his T-shirt. The young rapper took to Colbert’s Late Show stage with a message on his jersey for Trump in support of undocumented Mexican immigrants.
Raury made his network debut with a performance of “Devil’s Whisper,” while he sported a green Mexico soccer jersey. The name Trump was emblazoned across the back but crossed out with a red X.

“Trump embodies separation, solving problems with anger, fear, and personal differences,” Raury told VICE News in an interview conducted backstage. “I’m all about the opposite, about being inclusive and open.”
According to VICE, Raury and his crew celebrated backstage after the show. “Tonight is for Mexico,” he said.
This is the second musical guest who sent a direct message to the GOP presidential frontrunner from the Colbert stage in as many nights.
On Monday (Sept. 21), Don Henley incorporated Trump’s name into his hit song “Too Much Pride”
“Now listen, Mr. Trump, empires rise and empires fall/ you stick around here long enough you’ll see it all,” he sang. “Now it looks like it’s gone nationwide/ too much pride.”
Colbert may have shed the political persona from the Colbert Report, but his musical guests on his the Late Show have no problem showing off theirs.
