Adele Doesn’t Want Donald Trump Using Her Music

By Amanda Wicks

Adele doesn’t want Donald Trump using her music for his political campaign. The artist effectively shut Trump down after it came to light that the 2016 Republican presidential candidate has been using her song “Rolling in the Deep” to take the stage at rallies.

Recently, footage surfaced showing his daughter Ivanka Trump introducing her father at a rally to the song. Trump enters the room to the particular lines, “There’s a fire starting in my heart/ Reaching a fever pitch/ It’s bringing me out the dark/ Finally I can see you crystal clear.”

Adele’s response? Cut it out. Speaking with Billboard, a spokesperson for the artist said, “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”

She had a similar message for Mike Huckabee, who parodied her song “Hello” for a new political campaign ad. Adele’s people had the video removed.
